This info is already in our #rules channel, but in short: be respectful to us and each other. If you’re being rude, obnoxious or just bad or promote competing places you'll be punished or removed.

📌 Guidelines

Here are some of our ideas as to how Caveton should run:

1. Know your audience

Everyone is comfortable with different things. If you feel something might not be taken well, ask before you say it. Play it safer in text chat, since everyone can see it and use the appropriate channels. NSFW content is not allowed in Caveton.

2. Don’t be overly discreet

We’re not mind-readers. If something someone is doing is bothering you, let them know. Make it obvious. If you told them and they’re still bothering you, report them! Chances are, others have had the same problem.

Share your private information at your own risk. Don't post other people's private information without their permission.

4. Value discussions

Most issues, in general, are because of misunderstandings or miscommunication. That’s why we want to promote discussion here for lots of things, within reason. Before you start “hating” someone, please try to talk to them.

5. Be democratic

This server is for its members. We believe that we can make decisions together for most things. If you don’t like something or want something changed, you can make it change. It takes a while for change to happen and be accepted, but if it's a good idea, it’ll prevail.

6. Our integrity is paramount

We will protect Caveton, its members and ideals to the end. If you cause harm to Caveton in any way, we will take appropriate action.
