đź“– Problematic Era

GENs 4-5/1st FraughtMovie Administration

Given the complexity of issues shortly before, during, and after this era, it’s challenging to pinpoint its exact beginning. However, for historical recording, June 1st, 2015 has been chosen as the start of the Problematic Era, even though tensions within the community had been brewing since the Fraught Army Era. During this period, many members departed, formed their own subgroups, or turned against the community. The Problematic Era is often regarded as one of the closest instances when the community could have dissolved. It sheds light on the challenges posed by the top-down hierarchical administrative system in place until this point and the lack of organizational planning.

New FraughtShops

The initial FraughtShop minigame gradually fell into disuse, primarily due to inflation caused by members and the disorganized, cluttered nature of the world and economic system. Around June 1st, development began on the FraughtShop website, intended to replace the original and serve as a hub for Fraughtians during FraughtMovie’s offline periods. However, progress was slow, and the website’s initial iterations were not very useful.

On July 12th, 2015, development commenced for FraughtShop 2, a minigame world. It utilized a revised Pods system and removed cartridges, focusing solely on public minigames for all players. The goal was to create a new hub for Fraughtians with a more secure and efficient layout. Unfortunately, rising tensions within the community hindered and postponed the development of FraughtShop 2. Notably, prominent players like xXBadLegosXx, LeahRocks, and NWO Ichigo were absent from the Pods, indicating their distance from the community at that time.

CuteTitanPanda Scandal

Upon CuteTitanPanda’s reintegration into the community, she became aware of FraughtMovie’s new relationship with LoveDove. The fact that this relationship had not been formally terminated caused some discontent among certain members. Over time, CuteTitanPanda developed resentment and eventually found solace in forming new friendships with CRAZY4U G1RL and BloodyDuckers1. The precise timing of her return remains unknown, but a picture or video captured by FraughtMovie on June 9th, 2015, featuring CuteTitanPanda and BloodyDuckers1 during one of his minigame play sessions, highlighted their presence despite not being universally welcomed within the community.

Sher & Celestar

On June 29th, 2015, Sher started development—a puzzle/mystery minigame. It holds the distinction of being the first map entirely linked to the FraughtShop. Notably, the map also featured a RoboWars Link via a Kik account, demonstrating an alternative means of communication with community members beyond the Xbox 360.

Meanwhile, on July 9th of the same year, Celestar was released. This survival island minigame had a space theme and achieved modest popularity. It stands as one of the last games played by older community members during the Problematic Era. It's suspected that FraughtMovie and LoveDove hit a short rough patch around this time.

The Power Honeymoon

As LoveDove’s relationship with FraughtMovie deepened, her influential role within the community became evident. Any member who spoke against her could face a sanction. Although some community members expressed their displeasure, their complaints went unanswered. Reflecting this dynamic, on August 2nd, 2015, a survival world was created, featuring a city named “Los Amores” (loosely translated as “The Loves”). Unfortunately, the city remained incomplete, but it notably contains two beds within a closed-off central building—typically reserved for community gatherings. The village’s abandonment likely occurred early in its construction. Interestingly, no other members seemed to occupy the city, suggesting their lack of importance or reluctance to claim the houses.

Brawny Bro 2, FraughtBam! and Esculptor

Brawny Bro 2 development began on August 6th, 2015. Unlike its predecessor, it focused on lineal parkour-heavy level design. Inspired by FraughtShop 2's spawn area, it featured a plain spawn area with a logo, serving as a “landing page” for players. All subsequent maps adopted this design, later known as the “Little White Box”. Unfortunately, Brawny Bro 2 remained unfinished.

In the same month, FraughtBam! and Esculptor started development on the 22nd and 23rd, respectively. FraughtBam! was a spiritual successor to the popular Super Smash Bros. It's unknown how far these got into development during this time, but FraughtBam! would become a huge success later on. Esculptor was a build battle minigame, where players would be given a prompt and build based on it before time ends. It seems the minigame was made very quickly and with little effort.

Brawny Bro also featured a Boss Rush arena, where players could battle bosses from the previous game.
FraughtBam! featured maps and characters from the Super Smash Bros. minigame.
Strangely, Esculptor would also have a parkour course near the main building area. It's unknown what purpose

Anti-Fraughtians, Disarticulation & Mismanagement

Unbeknownst to the community, a coalition formed, comprising CRAZY4U G1RL, BloodyDuckers1, CuteTitanPanda, and their associates. This group, collectively known as the “anti-Fraughtians”, initiated unrest within the community. Their actions ranged from issuing threats to disseminating rumors and uncomfortable truths about FraughtMovie’s management during this period.

CRAZY4U G1RL took a central role, spearheading the CRAZY NATION, a faction dedicated to dismantling the community. The administration attempted to ban and isolate these dissenters, but their tolerance for members who sympathized with the perceived adversaries was limited. Ironically, strong measures against those echoing complaints inadvertently drove more members away or rendered them inactive.

Among these factions emerged the Apex Legonian Legion, led by xXBadLegosXx and promoted by NWO Ichigo. While Legos initially formed the group to preserve his friend circle amidst conflicts, NWO Ichigo reveled in the community’s dysfunction. FraughtMovie eventually banned xXBadLegosXx and his followers, causing more discontent among the remaining members.

With only a handful of fiercely loyal Fraughtians remaining, FraughtMovie shifted his focus to this diminished group. The most devoted among them voluntarily eavesdropped on opposing factions and sought FraughtMovie’s intervention.  FraughtMovie would greenlight any action members felt necessary, thus began the “Black Files”, a decentralized observation network maintained by loyal members.

These individuals eventually brought FraughtMovie information regarding LoveDove’s suspicious closeness to a male friend. Suspecting infidelity, he began purposeful observation of the first lady.

The Fraughtian Tragedy

On August 9th, 2015, FraughtMovie faced a personal tragedy—the passing of his grandfather. This event prompted him to briefly step away from the community and prioritize his family. During a family trip, they encountered a group of protesters blocking the road. In a vulnerable state of mind, FraughtMovie exited the family vehicle and was physically assaulted. Initially, his injuries appeared superficial, and he returned to the community in late August. However, his health progressively deteriorated, leading to hospitalization and effectively left the community without a leader. Tragically, during his absence, his other grandfather also passed away on September 1st.

The Death Rumor

FraughtMovie departed without providing specific details, leaving many members in the dark. Their knowledge was limited to the fact that he had left amid various community issues, fueling speculation.

LoveDove, still holding the position of First Lady, initiated a rumor that FraughtMovie had passed away. This led several members to write obituaries or final messages for him. The precise date when LoveDove began disseminating this rumor remains uncertain, but a message to FraughtMovie’s Google+ account hints that it occurred either in late August or early September.

It's suspected that FraughtMovie partially or fully returned to the community around September 25th, 2015. His sudden reappearance caused a stir among members who had previously believed the rumor of his demise. Members more aligned with LoveDove believed FraughtMovie had faked his own death, while members more aligned with FraughtMovie believe his death was fabricated by LoveDove to justify her moving on to a new relationship she had been developing.

When confronted about the situation, LoveDove claimed to have received correspondence from a family member of FraughtMovie, notifying her of his passing. However, no screenshots of these alleged messages exist. In an effort to repair friendships, it was collectively agreed that a “misunderstanding” had fueled the rumor. Consequently, LoveDove and her new partner (incidentally the male friend previously under community observation) were banned from the community. Despite this, LoveDove retained access to Google+ groups established or frequented by the community.

Reforms and Pardons

After his return, the community teetered on the brink of non-existence, with only a small group of remaining members. FraughtMovie initiated contact with various splinter groups, including the Apex Legonian Legion, led by xXBadLegosXx. Both men expressed apologies for past mistakes. They continued old discussions about the community’s nature, debating whether leadership should be separate from the members and whether members should maintain friendships with the leadership. xXBadLegosXx consistently advocated for more structural organization within the community, emphasizing friendship as its core social contract. FraughtMovie, on the other hand, acknowledged that the community’s previous challenges stemmed largely from the concentration of power in himself and the personalization of issues. These conversations laid the groundwork for the democratic system that the community has upheld in some form since then. xXBadLegosXx and his followers were unbanned and reintegrated into the community, marking the beginning of a reconstruction process.
